An evocative confluence of voices and verses, Bhalobasar Baranday is not merely an album: it is a lyrical sanctum, a woven homage to six luminous poets whose words have defined generations.
Conceived by poet Rina Giri and inspired by the tender spirit of Nabaneeta Dev Sen, the project unfurls like a garland of remembrance on her birth anniversary: a modest yet resonant tribute to the literary titan who left us on November 7, 2019.
At its heart is celebrated elocutionist Satyajit Biswas, whose voice carries reverence and rhythm as he pays homage through the textures of sound. In this unique audio-visual offering, his recitations cradle the legacies of Sunil Gangopadhyay, Joy Goswami, Yashodhara Ray Chaudhuri, Gauri Ghosh, Partha Ghosh, and Nabaneeta Dev Sen, gathering them under one starlit roof, a rare constellation in contemporary Bengali literature.
The album's cover was unveiled in a moment of grace by poet Joy Goswami, sealing the work with poetic benediction. Produced by Lok Bikash Sangsad and soon to be released in physical format by Rupshali, Bhalobasar Baranday becomes a listening room of longing, where poetry sits with us on the veranda, whispering of love, memory, and the permanence of voice.
